  • Sora's Quest (The Cat's Eye Chronicles #1) on May 17, 2012

Wow! What an adventure! Sora was raised with out her mother. Her father a political man never paid much mind to her and was eager to marry her off. Sora was not ready for the married life, she wanted to be adventurous like the chracters in the books she read. Little did Sora know, she was about to go on an adventure like no other. After seeing her father murdered, Sora was kidnapped and held captive. While being forced to accompany her captors, Sora is seeing how much more is outside the walls of her states, and how much in the dark she is about what goes on in the world. The world she was taught is not what it seems. There is so much more that exist than she ever imagined. Sora soon finds friends in the most unexpected places. Through these friends she learns so much more, not only about her surroundings but about herself. She becomes a much stronger person as she moves along her journey. I was dissapointed in the lack of romance. You could tell there was something between Crash and Sora, but nothing ever came of it. I can't wait for the next book of of Sora's Quest. I am hoping and crossing my fingers that something happens between them. Personally, I thought the book was too short, only because I wanted more. I wish T.L. Shreffler would have gone deeper into the story. I loved this book and would recommend this to everyone who loves paranormal reads.

    (no rating)
Four Stars for Echo of an Earth Angel By Sarah M. Ross Tessa has only been out of her coma for a few months. She has lost her parents from a tragic accident. Tessa thought she was lucky to have survived. Since waking up from her coma, she has been kind of gloomy and experiencing things that can't be explained. That is till David showed up. David is a healer, but he is also a Rogue Angel. He left Heaven because of a disagreement about how his powers should be used. David was there to witness the tragic accident with Tessa and her parents. After seeing Tessa he knew he couldn't let her die, so he healed her. However, he healed her too much and turned her to an angel who now is also a healer. David is trying to explain to Tessa what it means to be a healer and how to use her new power, but before he gets a chance to, Morgan, Tessa's best friend has been kidnapped by Nico, a hunter of Rogue Angels. When Tessa and David go to save Morgan from Nico, David has no choice but to give himself in to save the others. Tessa is left alone to figure out her powers, until Andre shows up. Andre is one og David's closest friends. And now it's up to him and Tessa to get David back. Once I started reading Echo of an Earth Angel, I couldn't put it down. I ended up finishing the story in one day, I really loved reading it, I laughed, I cried, and I got angry. I can't wait to be able to read the sequal!!!
  • Curse of the Beast on July 26, 2012

5 Stars for Curse of the Beast By Ashley Lavering Curse of the Beast is an amazing modern twist on Beauty and the Beast with a dose of paranormal. For those of you that love to read modern fairytale's this is definitely the book for you. Words escape me, when describing this book. Ashley Lavering really out did herself, her writing amazed. I was really surprised by this, seeing as Curse of the Beast is her first novel. The only thing I didn't like was how it ended, it leaves you with the biggest cliffhanger I've read thus far. Ashley leaves her readers wanting so much more, I can't wait for the sequel of Curse of the Beast to be released. Tayla hasn't always had the perfect life and it's not getting any better. Tayla lives with her aunt, who has raised her since birth, seeing how her mother abandoned her just days after being born. Tayla is also helping raise her aunt's two daughters. After her uncle died, her aunt had a break down and stopped living her life, therefore, leaving Tayla to take up all the slack. Tayla was home schooled until a few years ago, when her uncle died. Now her only escape from her home life is school with her best friend Chel. Tayla is also getting attention from Kyle Harrington, the hottest guy in school. Being Kyle's girlfriend would be a dream come true. That was until she found out he was a possessive psycho, who will pummel anyone who even talks or looks at Tayla. Now Tayla is trying to avoid Kyle as much as possible, but he continues to stalk her. Tayla is constantly watching her back with the help of her bestie Chel. She fears for what Kyle may do. However, Kyle wasn't the only one she should have been watching out for. After a couple sightings of what Tayla believed to be a wolf, she has a run end with a strange man named Beast. And Tayla's life isn't getting any better. Beast isn't just a man, he is cursed as a werewolf. By day he is a man and by night, a wolf. Tayla tries to escape when she meets Beast, but realizes she can't. They are now connected by the Curse. This Curse will only allow them to be so far from one another. Tayla has no choice but to stay with Beast, in his home. Before leaving with him she soon finds out he has a secret and it involves her mother. Spending so much time together, Tayla and Beast learn to tolerate each other and find out they are connected more than they thought. You see this isn't beast's first connection, and Tayla is a lot different from any of the others. Tayla can feel Beast's pain and when he is in trouble, she goes to his rescue only to be the one needing to be rescued in the end. Now Tayla's life is hanging in the balance and Beast is willing to let her go, but what will she decide? In order for us to find out what her decision is we must wait for the second book of Curse of the Beast.

  • Becoming Invisible on May 11, 2014

Tiffany Carmouche has done it again, she has completely blown me away with Becoming Invisible. The suspense was killing me the whole way through but once I started this book there was no way I was putting it down. Becoming Invisible was intense, full of drama and so HOT!!! Bradley was my favorite but I think Im leaning more toward Dylan now. However, that cliffhanger had me going crazy, I need to read the fourth book in this saga like NOW!!! The ending leaves you wanting so much more, wanting to know what in the hell is happening, I cant believe she did that to us. Still love her work though, she's amazing!
  • Losing Logan on May 11, 2014

OMG!! This was the first book I have read by Sherry D Ficklin and it's so amazing!! I absolutely fell in love with the characters, especially Logan. Zoe is helping Logan with his unfinished business since she seems to be the only one who can see him, they used to be friends at one time, now she can't stand him or his fake friends or so she says. The suspense around how Logan really died will keep you on your toes. I really enjoyed reading Losing Logan and can't wait to read more from Sherry, she's a very talented writer. My most personal fave piece would have to be her dedication LOL ;)
