Biography

AHMED CEVDET PÂŞA “rahmetullahi teâlâ aleyh”: Ahmed Cevdet pâşa 1238 [m. 1823] de Lofcada tevellüd, 1312 [m. 1894] de vefât etdi. Fâtih câmi’i şerîfi bağçesinde mermer kabri vardır. Bütün milletlerin çok kıymet verdiği (Mecelle) adındaki kitâbı hâzırlamakla, islâmiyyete büyük hizmet etmişdir. (Kısas-ı Enbiyâ) ve (Ma’lûmât-i nâfi’a) kitâbları meşhûrdur.
