NOTE: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review Again, Tempest C Avery has blown my mind. How she comes up with this ever-changing plot that keeps me glued and on the edge of my seat is beyond me. In Wanderers of the Night, we meet up with The Four for another plot-twisting, mind-reeling adventure in the wake of Lily's wager with Ronan. They need to rescue their kidnapped friend and overcome Ronan except Ronan can't be trusted and keeps eluding to half-truths that just draws out the hunt! (Nail-biting stuff!) Amidst all the action, Lily also needs to decide who she really wants to be with. The love POLYGON in this story also adds to the drama... I also love how the stories of Brid, Caer and Ru are woven into this story... I wondered though why the romance between Ru and Arlana isn't brought out in this book... Missed that especially since sparks between the two were brought out in book one... The book ends on yet another cliff-hanger and I don't know where or how the story is going to end... Tempest C Avery has woven an epic tale and I for one can't wait for the next book!

Wow... Tempest C Avery... Wow... So young and unbelievably talented. This book was nothing short of amazing! The ever changing and expanding plot just draws you in. The concept of the Mimics was my favourite! Never heard of that twist to the shape-shifters... Soooo good! Where the heck does she come up with this stuff? Echo Island tells the story of a centuries old vamp and how she finds love in an unlikely place... While that sounds sappy / clich├ęd - when taking into account that there's a deranged ghost and even more psychotic evil witch out for what initially appears as vengeance and furthermore, all this transpires on an island in the middle of a highly sensitive Fundar with immortals disappearing and dropping like flies... It gets a little intense! The cast of characters is amazingly rich - each one has their own story to tell and how they've each had their paths crossed over the centuries they've been alive just adds to the allure of Echo Island. It's a fast-paced, romantic, action-packed thrill ride! Tempest C Avery - you're a legend!
