Biography

Alexander Lurikov’s stories are defined by their peculiar characters—loners, idlers, voyeurs, and other melancholy discontents who repeatedly find themselves stumbling into absurd situations with strangers. Lurikov looks with sympathy on these misfits and relates their various misadventures in a style that is solemn yet humorous—reflective, as he believes, of the inherent duality of man’s nature.
