Biography
Hi,
I’m Andrea and here is a little bit about me. I was born in a small town in Austria, where I spend a lot of time buried in books and making up stories for my friends and family. When I finally moved to a bigger city to study, I learned to love the big city live and finally moved over the Atlantic to Seattle, where I live now with my wife and our two adorable dogs. We love to explore the west coast and the rain forests around here and go fruit picking and out on a sailboat in the summer. Our family vacation home in Hawaii, gives us the great opportunity to follow our other hobbies like scuba diving, paddle boarding and surfing. When I’m not writing, I can probably be found outside in nature exploring new paths with my two dogs.
I decided to write books, that have LGBT contend because I always loved to read and stumbled over a youth book that was about a girl who fell in love with another girl. It was in Middle school, when we had an author come in and present some of his books and one of them was “Rosy’s Love”. I wasn’t sure at the time why but I felt immediately drawn to this book and read it quickly. After this book I couldn’t find another book quite like it, well at this point I didn’t really know why I liked this book and what exactly I was looking for, but I could not find one. I think it is important for reader, young and older, to have access to books like this, so that it might help them to understand their own feelings better.
