  • After the Fire on July 05, 2011

Having read a number of the authors work, I new that After the Fire was going to be a winner. Fast moving with plenty of interest to keep those pages turning. Bev Deller is a likeable strong woman, hard working and honest a great role model for her daughter, in this the first novel featuring Bev. The horrific fire and deaths are dreadful for the rescue services and those who have to deal with the clean up which we are privy too, this is dealt with in an understanding and caring manner.Loved it, read in one.

Having read for pleasure from an early age my constant daily pursuit is finding a page turner. Not only is Nicky's work that only so much more, as I await her next work, so pleased to have found such outstanding novels that I will return to read many times again. Nicky never disappoints, always delivers a compelling read.
  • Black Silk on June 29, 2013

Having read Black Silk some time while ago I was so please to find Jan had written another novel as I so admire her work with Nicky Charles. Black Silk is a beautiful love story with a strong female lead who over comes life's pitfalls. My one wish? Please Jan tap those keys more often, you have talent.
