What an engaging story! I want to go back to this world and find out more about the people in it and it's magic. The writing is absolutely top notch: you really feel like you are 'right there', no jarring notes to shatter the illusion.

An interesting premise and an interesting world, definitely. The characters are quite engaging and the magic and 'shape' of this universe is intriguing. The writing is good, though on occasion I lost my sense of immersion in the story, it was never enough to make me less interested in what was going on. I'm curious to see where the story goes, and might pick up the remaining two books.

What an entertaining life, running a magic shop! This little book is a fun window into a life that most of us can only just barely imagine. A great break from your own every day, highly recommended.
