April Hamilton

Biography:

I am a writer based in Southern California, where I live with my husband, children and entirely too many pets. I'm an admitted slave to the bean (the coffee bean) and a fan of technology---I've been reading ebooks ever since I bought my first Palm Pilot, back in the Cretaceous Era.

Frustrated by the new business model of the highly-consolidated, blockbuster-centric publishing industry, I've made the choice to publish my work independently. My work is available in various ebook formats here on Smashwords, and in Kindle and trade paperback editions on Amazon.

I'm working to encourage an indie movement in authorship to match those of the music and film industries by offering free, IndieAuthor how-to Guides at my author website (http://www.aprillhamilton.com), and I document my experiences in indie authorship in my blog (http://www.aprillhamilton.blogspot.com).

Snow Ball
Published by April Hamilton on May 5, 2008
Cinder Torley is an intelligent young woman who yearns to escape the stifling yoke imposed by her small town upbringing and unhappy marriage, but that doesn't mean she killed her husband. When he goes missing one night, Cinder quickly learns who---and how few---her friends really are in this darkly comic tale of dueling schemers and incompetents. Rated R for some language and adult themes.
Adelaide Einstein

Adelaide Binchley is probably the only fortysomething housewife and junior college dropout ever to be nominated for the Nobel Prize in Physics, and she's certainly the only one whose career was launched by a bedpan. In this hilarious and touching novel, Addie finds when one person selflessly reaches out to another, that gesture has the power to change the world. Rated PG-13, for some language.
