The Time Given is a page turning first work featuring an intelligent, deliberate woman retelling her story about how society as we currently know it, fell apart and is slowly being reconstructed. Throughout the book the main character reflects on her belief that "it is the worthiness of my behavior that is important to me, not my survival and not my happiness. As a reader, I found myself asking the same question as I read and after the book was finished.
