Aron Joice

Biography

Aron was raised in southern Virginia and later made New York City her home. She's been an avid reader since childhood. Raised in a military family, Aron had a great deal of personal time, and that's when the role playing started. Her brain became fertile ground for fantasizing. Fantasy is her passion, but she enjoys reading other genres as well.

Aron has a background in the performing arts as a singer, songwriter, dancer, and theatrical costumer. There was more than ample opportunity to expand her imagination in these venues.

Many years of her life were dedicated to orphan relief in Eastern Europe, and animal rescue in America. She now lives in the country with my pet family.

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
My earliest recollection is Rudyard Kipling's "Jungle Book". I carried it around with me for days. I even slept with it. The cover was colorful and captivating. I must have read it a hundred times, and that is a habit I still hold onto, rereading a favorite book.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the South, not deep South, but Virginia. My dad was military and my mom worked for the government. Being the only child I read, imagined, and made up stories(Mom called them fibs). The environment didn't influence me, being alone a lot did.
