  • Conrad's First Girl on Dec. 14, 2009

There is an air of forcefulness in the text, but he never touches or threatens her explicitly, which I found hot. She finds herself frightened, humiliated and turned-on. If you've had fantasies of force and worried about them coming true, you can easily put yourself in Elsie's place emotionally. This is a prequel to Abduction by the same author, but works well as a stand alone. The implied force and humilation is never explicit, he leaves the choice to continue up to her. It makes for a very hot read.

I can see how this would be a good movie if done well. There is a good story. I can't say anything about the writing style since it's not comparable to a novel. But there is a good story.

The characters had a nice chemistry between them as their story unfolds. The sex was very well done. The author has a nice mix between build up inside the characters and the actual physical motions they go through. There was also a nice mash-up of back story of the characters and what they were going through during the story.
  • Crouton: A Love Story on Jan. 20, 2010
    (no rating)
Poor Ted, the likeable, if fastidious, hero comes home one day to find a crouton perfectly centered on his white sofa. Since he lives alone, he equates this to being ransacked. As he checks his apartment for intruders, he reasons why he doesn't eat croutons. He also shows us his anxious past. It only gets worse for poor Ted. As a reader you aren't sure whether to sympathize with him or laugh your ass off.
  • Loving Eliza on Aug. 11, 2010

I was interested in why Eliza was saying no. There was a reason and I wanted to know. And I also wanted to know when she'd give into John, what the black moment would be and how it would all resolve. There was great story telling, great character development. I was interested in the characters, I cared about them. I wanted to know what happened next. I stayed up late to finish the book.
