Smashwords Interview

What prompted you to start writing books?
After leaving college I trained as a journalist. It has always been my ambition to write a book - even as far back as school - where English was my top subject. I never got to fulfill this ambition until I retired due to work commitments.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was while I was still a boy - it was a short story about a boy who was lost in Australia for some time before he was eventually found - safe and well.
