I've long believed that buildings - houses, schools, hospitals etc - retain the energy of those who lived, loved and suffered within. Their memories live on, and in many cases, their spirits linger. I also believe some of us are able to feel, or tap into, the residual energy that lingers. Some can even see and hear them. This sophisticated short story seems to showcase my beliefs. Not a 'mainstream' ghost story, it takes a look at the past lives of those who lived in the house as seen through the extra-sensory eyes of two visitors. The visitors, too, have their own story. Easily a five star write. Can't believe it's a freebie! Beautifully written and highly recommended.
