I was born and raised in West Harlem, with a condition that has given me a unique perspective on life. A chronic illness that has made me focus on, and, empathize with, all who are marginalized in any way. I am confident that this work shines a light on some of the prevailing ails of society…

What inspired you to become a writer?
I saw a paper and a pen, and a dog counting to ten. Who knows? A blank page is a powerful magnet, begging to be filled.
When did you first start writing?
It was probably in high school, started dabbling and wondering about infinite possibilities. But mostly, I had nothing to do, because all my teams sucked, except for the Islanders.
