I discovered this book through the Ride Asia forum, and recommend it to tourists and residents in Asia alike.
The authors rightly identified a gap in the market for a definitive book about the legalities of buying a bike in South East Asia, where restrictive immigration and trade practices make it mind-bogglingly complicated for anyone born and raised in the EU. They succeed with an engaging, easy to read charm that takes you from deciding what bikes to buy, to how to buy them, where to buy them, border crossing issues and re-selling them at the end. They also break down the budget so you can see exactly what the costs are.
The riding and travelling tips are full of amusing insights and commonsense and the links and references at the end are valuable too.
This little e-book is fun to read and an excellent source of information.
