Ben Sley has been engaged in a lifelong journey regarding weight “ups and downs.” He has finally decided to do something about it and has safely lost 50 pounds in 6 months by relying on God’s Word. In this book, he tells how he was able to do it, not with pills or supplements, nor with special diet foods, nor by attendance at weekly classes, but with reliance on Scripture. Along the way, he also utilized a few “special ingredients” which he discusses. Ben knows that God wants us to glorify Him with the “Temple of the Holy Spirit,” our bodies, based on how we nourish and bring this “Temple” into God’s Will. He has always been interested in nutrition and has a B.S. in Chemistry, which has impressed upon him that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” by Our Creator, and not the result of mere random chance of chemical interactions.
Ben now works as a patent attorney in northern California and resides there with his wife, Kathy, and their dog and cat. Ben and Kathy have three grown children, Sarah, David and Mary, and son-in-law, Bjorn, of whom they are very proud. They now have four beautiful grandchildren, Gabriel, Caleb, Kristiana and MaryKate. In his new, slimmer body, Ben wants to spend a lot of time with the grandkids!

Discover how you, too, can lose a significant amount of weight using the Scripture method that patent attorney Ben Sley used to safely lose 50 lbs in 6 months. Ben taught a Bible lesson on the Book of Joshua in which both Joshua and Moses were posthumously referred to as a "Servant of the Lord." This caused Ben to want the same thing said of him, and, thus, began his weight loss journey.

- Silent Giants: A North American Odyssey
on May 23, 2011
You will be drawn into this adventure of a man and his nearly 50-year old Cessna-150 taildragger as he makes his flying trek from the northeastern-most point of North America to the southwestern-most point. You will be brought into the golden age of flying, and get a feel of instrument flying. But, more than that is the sense of the author's eye for people as he tells their short stories on his most adventurous trip. Reminiscent of something Hemingway might write. A definite "Must Read"!
