Dirty Little Angels.... I enjoyed this book. It is dark and twisty and should be for mature readers only in my opinion. I am a little torn about the length. I enjoyed that it was a short quick read, but I also wish it was longer so it could answer some of my questions about how everyone ends up. So- I hate to be wishy washy but I can't decide if making it longer would be worth it. The beginning was a little slow thus the 3.5 rating. Once he got rolling though I enjoyed his characters. I loved Hailey and pulled for her the entire time. I loved how many things in this book were unexpected. There was a lot packed into the 157 pages and a couple of scenes could use a little more meat. Overall I really did enjoy this book and have recommended it to my sister. Again it is a little dark and twisty and the ending was a surprise (which I personally enjoy) so be sure you are not feeling blue when you read it- or hey it might make you realize what is good in your life. But I digress. It was a good debut novel and I will be looking for more of Mr. Tusa's work in the future!

I enjoyed this story but it is indeed a short story rather than the book I was expecting. I do enjoy reading Amish stories and was familiar with some of the practices. This one is a bit different. Miriam has had her heart set on the boy next door forever- until his big question is if she wants to go to the city with him rather than if she wants to marry him. Of course she feels that her heart is broken...until she meets Daniel. I think that she and Daniel are believable- its just that everything seems like it is pushed to squeeze in there. I think that with the time put into this story to make it into an actual book we would see the characters fill out and really get to know them. I would read another story or book by Becca again. I was given my copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVED this book! The story of Eleanor/Nora/Noreen is filled with adventure and likable heroes as well as those villians we do not care for. Eleanor finds herself with a chance to escape from her controlling husband. Taking that chance changes her life in more ways than one. Her father and his friend want to know the truth about how her husband died- she is just glad to be free of him and waits for the next chapter of her life to begin. Throughout this time she meets and makes several new friends, however, we also get to see life in the small town where her husband died. It is an interesting story to follow, with all of the high society drama as well as the small village and "gypsy" lifestyle. I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to reading more by Anne Walsh! *I received my copy for free in exchange for an honest review.
