Benjamin Cheah

Autodidact. Independent military science fiction/fantasy thriller writer. Seeker. Human.

I'm an independent writer living in Singapore. Since the age of twelve, I've been writing stories of one kind or the other. My interests take me all over the place, from the latest in science and technology, the depths of the human mind, and the art of war.

My work is inspired by a wide range of media, ideas and concepts. Central to my works is violence and its consequences. Other themes include redemption, duty, non-attachment, karma, the impact of technology on humanity, and what it means to be human.

Genre-wise, my work is best described as a mash-up of elements from across a range of media. Expect to see influences from science and speculative fiction, fantasy, military and espionage thrillers, and hard-boiled detective and crime dramas.

Fiction aside, I'm also a blogger. I'm a co-founder of alternative media website The Online Citizen, and maintain a blog at
