Biography

Author, Michael Bergdahl was the Director of “People” for Walmart in their Bentonville, Arkansas home office. He worked directly with Walmart’s founder Sam Walton.

Michael is the author of two previous books. WHAT I LEARNED FROM SAM WALTON: How to Compete and Thrive in a Walmart World (Wiley, 2006) which explains the strategies of the world’s largest company. THE 10 RULES OF SAM WALTON: Success Secrets for Remarkable Results (Wiley, 2008),with a Foreword by Walmart Chairman Rob Walton, Sam Walton’s son, which describes the tactics of the world’s richest man.

Michael is a recognized authority on the best practices of Walmart and Sam Walton. Articles written by him, and articles written by others about him, have appeared in business newspapers and magazines around the world.

In addition to being a best-selling author, Michael is a professional international business speaker and turnaround specialist who has spoken professionally on six continents. Michael is one part business, one part inspiration, and one part storyteller.
