This is a great and extremely well-written book! I was at first a little put off with the romantic interest, but it became beautifully woven in as the story progressed. I agree with the other reviewers, that it brought the New Testament to life. I better understand the politics, motives, and behaviors of these Biblical characters. I hope my next comment is taken as constructive. There were two times in the book where I was bounced back to our present time. 1) There was a description of a charged current(I believe) between the characters. 2)A mention of a driveway. Perhaps there were driveways then, but the word smacked me back to suburbia. In spite of this, I really, really enjoyed the read and had a difficult time putting the book down. Thank you, Ms Diaz!
