The premises of the stories were very good. I like the dark flavor of the stories. The grammar and misuse of words was more than I could stand. i.e. A mafia don is the Patriarch not the Matriarch. The stories felt rushed. I think the author needs to slow down. Quantity does not make up for quality. Keep trying J.C.
- The October Five

The October Five was a good, quick read. The Vietnam war, with the atrocities perpetrated by both sides, is always fair game to explain the motives of men. I enjoyed the book but was not satisfied with the ending. A main character, one I was really interested in, dies. I would have liked to see more about him.
I would read another book from this author. Good job. ( )

I enjoyed the book. I liked the intro to the book; it grabbed my attention and I knew it would be a thriller. The book held my interest and I couldn't stop reading..the ending was a blur though. The authors pace was a little slow to begin with, sped up and the end was too hurried. That being said, I did like the book and would definitely read more by this author.

Wow, don't know where to start...The book drops you into a dark world with no knowledge of how you got there. There are a lot of Twilight Zone moments...as a matter of fact, this would make a great series like The Twilight Zone...I enjoyed this book immensely and can't wait to read the sequel..
