Rob Sedgwick

Biography

Rob Sedgwick is an actor, producer, and the scion of one of America’s oldest and most notable families. His acting career has spanned 26 years and encompasses films, television, and the New York stage where he has also produced several off Broadway plays. In spite of critically acclaimed performances on stage and on screen, audiences would most likely know him as one of the “Die Hard” villains; he played Rolf in “Die Hard: With a Vengeance.”

Rob is co-director of the Sedgwick-Russell Acting Classes at the Snapple Theater Center. He is co-founder and co-owner of Stogo, the popular, non-dairy ice cream shop in the East Village, and haunt of vegan celebrities. His memoir, BOB GOES TO JAIL, (on sale October 9, 2012) chronicles his early life and opens with his drug bust in 1990. Ironically, when his lawyer ordered him to get a full-time job to show he was a contributing member of society, Rob got an ongoing role as a drug lord on “One Life to Live.” Rob has now been sober for 17 years.

After what Rob describes as his “35 year adolescence,” he is now happily married to the renowned dancer, Annmaria Mazzini. They live on the Upper West Side with their pit-bull, Bowie, and their three cats: Liam, Charlie, and Sneakers.
