I became absorbed in this book from the very start. The other reviewers are correct...it is dark, it is gritty, it is edgy, but it is GREAT! This book explores the realities of a family so deep in despair that there seems to be no way out for any of them. Every step they take seems to be another step in the wrong direction, no matter how good the meaning was behind the action in the first place. the characters are real, you believe in them, feel as if you know them. you want to root for them. But as the story moves along, you see that no matter what... not everyone will come out of this unscathed. I really found the authors writing style to be smooth and easy to follow. The words all seemed to blend seamlessly on the paper to fit into the perfect story. Settle in for a fantastic read folks, This ones guaranteed to satisfy. I received a free copy of this e-book in exchange for a review. I was not required to write a positive review, only an honest one.

This was the first work I read by Jason McIntyre and it was enough to have me hooked on his writing! The story is not overly dark but you have a sense of foreboding throughout. It really does draw you in from the first sentence. It is slightly otherworldly but definitely not unbelievable. Amazing is what i call it. When i finished, I went and added ALL of his works to my wish list then bought them each as i could. He is THAT good. A star on the rise!!!
  • Kro on Jan. 16, 2013

Kro is a short story "prequel" to The Devil's Right Hand and it is a shocker. It gives you just enough of a punch to take your breath away but also leave you breathlessly saying "MORE, MORE, MORE"!!! Kro is the kind of character you could see yourself being best friends with, if you were privileged enough to walk in the WALK MEN'S world. Stop reading reviews and start buying Jason McIntyre's books. I say to buy all of them, but if you don't wanna commit that hard yet, at least try the Night Walk Men series. You will not be disappointed.
