ONCE, was a surprisingly deep read. I was reminded, as a Catholic, how God intends for us to love others. Mian encompasses characters from so many different worlds, different faiths, different emotional backgrounds, that it makes for a brilliant tapestry of human interaction. I agree with the reviewer who noted what a wonderful movie this would make. The prose at times is a bit tight, the plotting forced in certain situations, but like Burl said (aforementioned reviewer)this was published without the benefit of a professional edit.Overlook that aspect for now. With a good thorough run-through, this book will surpass its already well established fan base. Read it, soak it in. His career is sure to go upwards from here.
