I have never been so surprised to enjoy a book so much as I have with this one. I have read plenty of comics (maybe not THAT many) and seen plenty of superhero movies, but I have never actually read a superhero book. And I really really enjoyed it. It's better than the movies and better than the comics.
The book was ridiculously fun to read and full of action. There was plenty of superhero description and the action was highly detailed as well. I didn't miss the pictures, and I appreciated the absence of comic thought bubbles. There was plenty of humor and there was quite a bit that "poked fun" at the superhero world that most of us "know" already.
If you are a fan of superhero comics, pick this up. If you are a fan of action stories, pick it up. This book is an awesome way to spend an afternoon.

This is not a book really, just a short novella. Quick but satisfying read.
If I had paid attention to where the story was originally published, I may have seen the ending coming, but I really didn't. It is a brief, but very sensual tale, with a nice little bit of erotica mixed in. Beautiful, vivid descriptions, with a surprising ending that is very satisfying. Well worth the 15 minute read.

A wonderful, short, and entertaining read. So much hotter than I expected it to be!
The story is about a woman who takes her best friend's place in war, as him, because she could fight in the war, and he could not handle or stomach it.
There is tension as she tries to hide her secret, that she is a woman and that she is a nobleman's daughter. Thrills when she is discovered by a fellow squire who believes she is a boy, and total total hotness when she gets caught by the commanding general. I love the way Amanda does sex scenes. Her descriptions are so vivid and make me tingle. Mmmm.
I was not a fan of the ending, that's why I can't give it the full 5 stars. It was too unrealistic, and not really Amanda's style at all, at least not what I'm used to. I won't spoil it, but my reaction was "Seriously?"
So totally worth the read, no regrets!

Very short, very "sweet" (well, ahem, tasty) story. More erotic than anything, and a great exploration of the pleasure that comes along with voluntary pain. Exquisite pain is probably the better description for this story.
This is a short story about a girl who commissions a tattoo of wings covering her entire back, having never gotten a tattoo or piercing in her life, and is also married to a man who is free of mods as well. The pain she receives seems to strengthen the attraction she initially feels to the artist who is sketching the design.
Very nice short read. A wonderful accompaniment to a warm cup of tea.

I love how Amanda Gannon writes her stories. Beautiful erotica, varied loves scenes of all types and cater to all tastes. Since it covers pretty much everything, if you're looking for it, you can find it here. Be warned, though, there is a lot of "ravishing" that goes on, but everything is very tasty.
Amanda's story lines are even more fun than her erotica bits. A great story, with exciting twists and turns, and mysteries that get uncovered and discovered as the story unfolds. The reader knows what's going on the entire time, as you get to read it from many different character viewpoints, but there are some surprises. There is great action, awesome sword fights and glorious death scenes.
Not my favorite book by Amanda, but comes very close.
