Biography

Jaliza Burwell is currently hiding out in Boston, working on her MA in Publishing and Writing. Basic interests include reading and writing, obviously. She love books, both physical and electronic. She read tons of manga and watch lots of anime, and loves to annoy her friends with her fandom of what she reads. Her love for reading includes mainly fantasy and romance, but she's known to dabble in other genres.

She grew up in Northern NY in Akwesasne, a little Indian reservation on the border of NY and Canada. In her spare time, she's chatting away with her family or on the quest to find the best fried rice.

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I'm currently attending Emerson College for Writing and Publishing. The classes have taught me so much just this past year. I never saw myself self-publishing but then I learned the process and thought it fit me better than the traditional route. I'm not out to make millions. I just hope to share the stories I'm going to write anyways instead of them sitting inside my laptop, taking up space. If I can make at least one person happy with my books, then I'm happy.
When did you first start writing?
Probably the moment I learned to write my ABCs. I've always loved writing and never stopped the moment I could.
