Caitlin Galway

Biography

Caitlin Galway is a Toronto-based fiction writer and freelance editor. Most recently, she was the recipient of the 2012 Canada Council for the Arts Grant, the 2012 Toronto Arts Council Writers Grant, the 2012 Ontario Arts Council Writers’ Reserve Grant, Riddle Fence’s 2011 Short Fiction Contest, CBC’s 2011 Stranger than Fiction Contest, and was selected for inclusion in the 2013 House of Anansi Press/Broken Social Scene fiction anthology. She was also shortlisted for Glimmer Train ’s 2010 Fiction Open Contest and Matrix Magazine’s 2011 Litpop Award, and was a finalist for the 2012 Gloria Vanderbilt Fiction Prize. Her work has appeared in numerous journals, and she has just signed with the Bukowski Agency for her second book. Blackbird is her debut novel.
