Carolyn Elliott
Biography
Carolyn Elliott has lived her whole life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she teaches classes on poetry and creativity. At the tender age of 17 she won a slew of national and regional writing awards, which screwed her up real good and led her on an intense and rewarding spiritual search. Along with poetry, she now writes self-help and metaphysical fiction. She blogs at www.awesomeyourlife.com.
As a child, Elliott was a vestal virgin in a storefront Rosicrucian Temple where she channeled the Egyptian god Thoth for the congregation and read a lot of Goethe. After leaving the Rosicrucian Temple she spent much of her time at the Carnegie Library reading French surrealists and making out with boys, unbeknownst to her parents.
Today she primarily hangs out with her partner, a diabolical roboticist at Carnegie Mellon University, and plots ways to bring about heaven on earth. This turns out to involve throwing a lot of elaborate consciousness parties.
