Let me start by saying how much I love Lynn Flewelling's books: a frickin' lot! But this? This was just not so good. It seems like she essentially decided to write her own fanfiction. Most of the stories are just an excuse to have the sex scenes that she left out of her books. And the sex scenes are rather mechanical and awkward. I admit, I hoped for better from something I paid for. Still a huge fan, and still looking eagerly forward to the next novel! I just wish this had been different.
