Biography

D. C. Washington is a sister/brother writing team. Chris was born on August 17, 1972 in St. Paul, MN. Deborah was born June 18, 1974 in St. Paul, MN. They both have a variety of interests, including Beach Body fitness, slavery in Sudan, politics (but we don't discuss those publicly), music, movies, history, WRITING (of course), exercising, computers.

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?

What is your writing process?
I have an interesting story in my head, and I write it down. I'm not interested in trying to choreograph it or pay attention to passive vs. active voice or anything else. I just write it down like a blue print. After I finish, then I deal with the flow, passive vs. active voice, and the show-don't-tell rule.
