I've been writing since I was a child. It took many years of writer's block, bad excuses and no motivation to reach this pivotal stage in my life. After I turned 40 this summer, I hit a roadblock. It was sink or swim. After all these years of trying to finish a novel, I soon realized I preferred writing short stories. So I gave myself a deadline of one month to write a book. By the end of the month I wrote my first short story. By the next week, I wrote two more short stories. I was on a roll. I knew at that point nothing or nobody was going to stop, deter or bring me down. Hate what I write? I'm not everyone's cup of tea. Love what I write? Then hop on board for a ride through a wild and twisted imagination!
