Virginia Aird

Biography

Dear Reader,
Thank you for sharing in the excitement of my novels! I am a church choir singer, wife and
mother of two.
To acquire a real "taste" of my literary essence,
here is my recipe for a delicious read:
- 1 strong,sensitive female
- 1 sensitive,strong male
-Add in several heaping spoonfuls of full-bodied love
-Season throughout with salty characters
-Pepper with good and evil
-Blend above ingredients together--along with a hefty sprinkling of sensuality and sweetness
-Stir in chunks of raw emotion
-Keep it juicy
-Steam and serve! (My book, Grandma's Matinee Bow is currently #1 at the Kobo website-- nonfiction/family relationships). 7/20/14

Happy Reading!

Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It is super stimulating! Really, I feel so excited to let my thoughts and feelings escape onto paper. I get so emotionally charged and invested in my characters. Being a highly sensitive and emotional human being, I strive to bring the reader inside the character's heart and mind to experience what really makes them tick.
While my stories certainly have a plotline, they are first and foremost character and emotion driven. The reader needs to allow themselves more than a snippet of my books to fully appreciate a full-blown feast of drama.
When did you first start writing?
I always had a natural ability for the written word, unlike my unnatural deficiency for anything mathematical. My love of writing really took flight in high school. I composed a very touching poem for my grandmother's eighty-fifth birthday, which was complemented alongside my cousin's beautiful pencil drawing of our family tree. A copy of this combined effort hangs in my hallway to this very day, a loving tribute to my sweet grandma.

Each Other was a really captivating, historical love drama. I truly loved it!
  • Braggot Park on Feb. 08, 2014

I very much enjoyed this short story. It was very well-written and fast-paced. I wish that the two main characters had been developed more before their immediate intimacy. I felt a need for these two to share a bit more conversation and a general 'liking' before experiencing such overwhelming love. Thanks for an interesting read!!
  • Double Double Cross on Feb. 09, 2014

This was a terrific short story. I loved all of the dark humor. Thanks for a morbidly delightful read!
