Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
In a small village with my grandmother, it held twenty-five in the winter and fifty in the summer. My imagination was set free, and I read everything and anything that I could find-the Bible, Tarzan, Gone with the Wind, Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, Poe, Dickens, Scott, Chaucher, Twain, Harvard Classics, Encyclopedia Britannia, even Readers Digest. I was thirsty for entertainment. I started writing plays and short stories by age six. I even wrote down my dreams. I can predict a storyline before I start the second chapter. I had to write again when I retired.
What's the story behind your latest book?
A biblical question that has plauged me for ages, sorry for the pun. I took Latin in high school and have continued to translate even today. (Ranked third in the nation when I took the National Latin test, whew) History has always intrigued me. I just laid an outline, wrote some points that I wish to cover and then I will fill in the character traits, places discriptions, etc. This will take a little more time than a straight fictional novel. I am a stickler on the details, as I do not wish to insult any scholar.
