Biography

Robert Fain has enjoyed a sixteen year career as a technical support specialist and currently works full time for a fortune 500 company. During the evenings and on the weekends he DJ’s and writes under the name DJ Special Blend from Chicago.

After 25 years of mobile DJing and writing short stories, he has completed three novels… “Music Got Me Sprung,” ”Get It Up,” and the first to be published, “Witness to a Murder.”

DJ Special Blend from Chicago can be heard faithfully hosting Chicago’s longest running Hip-Hop podcast at BMSRadioChicago.com and can be seen DJing private parties and corperate events regularly around Chicagoland and throughout the Midwest.

Rob likes his Harold’s Chicken fried hard with mild sauce, salt and pepper with an extra cold slaw. His favorite view of the sky line is from 31st Street Beach. He cried when Walter and Benji died, and he drove past Comisky Park (US Cellular Field) seven times the night the White Sox won the World Series.
