Claire Fine

Biography

​Claire Fine grew up in New York City and graduated from Hunter College of the CUNY. After moving to California in the 70s, she married and had one son. Claire spent many years working in the corporate world.

​After retirement, Claire began teaching Mah Jongg to people of all ages. Inspired by her students, she decided to write a book that would be helpful for beginners as well as for those who want to improve their game.

​She currently resides in the Palm Springs area with her husband and continues to teach Mah Jongg at senior centers, country clubs, and private groups. A number of these students have evolved to tournament level playing.
