Cheryl Probst is an award-winning photojournalist who began writing professionally three days after she graduated from college. She's worked for newspapers in her native Oregon, Washinngton (where she lives now), Alaska, New York and Beijing which fueled her passion for writing travel guides about China. She even created her own line of travel guides, "Cheryl's Guides." These guides include "Parents Guide to Beijing," "DIY Beijing" and "Motorcycle Museums of the United Kingdom." Now semi-retired, she writes mainly about China and motorcycles. She lived in Beijing for two years and returns to the Middle Kingdom frequently to visit friends and keep up with what's happening in a country she considers her second home.

This book has some great information, but I thought it was geared more to people who are just starting out on their writing careers than those who have been writing for some years. Still, it makes a good refresher course, and I have followed up on a few things mentioned.
Many of the articles were marred by bad grammar and typographical errors, things which are no-nos for writers. However, these served as good reminders as to why we should always use spell and grammar checks if another set of human eyes isn't available.
