Molokai Reef on Dec. 31, 2009

I laughed out loud several times while reading Molokai Reef. Biby has created characters that remind me of Tim Dorsey's Serge combined with the long ago Travis McGee. This is mystery novel with the requisite murder but the reluctant protagonist often opines about current events while yearning to continue his sailing adventures. Hiaasen, Evanovich, Barry, Dorsey, and Christopher Moore fans should enjoy this read. Look forward to more of Gybe.
