Cowgirl Brumby (Cg Brumby) is a writer who began writing as a teen, receiving acknowledgements as young writer of the year in high school. Since leaving school she worked as a waitress, bar attendant, factory hand and clerk before taking on some work as a TV extra and model for a popular liquor chain.

The eldest of two children, she was raised in a household by loving but strict parents who continued to support her endeavours as a writer. After the sudden death of her father in November 2011 from an acute form of leukemia, Cg put her career on hold to care for her mother. Cg is planning to dedicate her next novel (Wild at Heart) to the memory of her beloved father.
