This story was written by someone with a sure hand--someone who has written a lot of stories in the past and knows what keeps the reader turning the page. The strength of this story is the dialogue. These characters sound like people you hear every day--people you can care about. I wanted Derrick and Ginger to win and get together at the end, and that's what the author gave me. Great story!
This book won't disappoint. It's far better than some of the crap that's out there--both on the internet and traditional publishing. It's the kind of story I like--tasteful---no heavy-handed sex, language that would peel paint, or sado-masochism in this book. It's not all sweetness and light, either. A nice, old-fashioned tale told well. If that makes me old fashioned, I've been called worse. For $1.99, you get a darn good read.
This is approximately the fifth novel-length work I've read by this author, and I think it might be her best so far. The conflict is on every page, and the story builds, step-by-step, to a great climax. In the story, the weather is as much a character as the humans/fae are, and I enjoyed reading about the storms as well as following the main storyline. Supernatural meets normal, and the fireworks start! I definitely recommend this author and I'll be buying more of her books.
