  • The Mating (The original Law of the Lycans story) on Nov. 08, 2011

Not sure what exactly to say other than WOW! I loved this book. I've read all three twice in one week! I couldn't put it down and found it even better on the second read! I kept inserting my own comments to the characters regarding their "blindness" to what was going on around them. I don't normally read romance, but this was such a great story. I enjoyed the refreshing break it gave me from my usual high fantasy books. You're desire to keep your work available free of charge has inspired me to go back to working on my own novel. Thanks for the amazing story and I hope you will come back to this world again someday for another steamy tale! On a side note, my husband thanks you for such great detail that had me waking him up in the middle of the night for a bit of "release" myself!
  • The Keeping on Nov. 08, 2011

I'm right with Doris Holmes' review on this one! Absolutely the BEST one of the series! I too wanted to pick up the phone and call Kane! When Elise barged in refusing to leave, I found myself in tears along with her. This was a perfect continuation of the story. Your character development is superb. I've read this one three times and plan to read it yet again very soon. Melody is a bit frustrating at times, but she has just enough spunk in her to keep me from wanting to smack her. Ryne is so hot and sexy, I thought I'd melt in my living room every time he growled! One thing I was disappointed about was the loss of Lucy. It would have been great to explore a relationship with her and Armand in a future book. Thanks for yet another amazing free offer! Wish I could give it 6 stars!!
  • The Finding on Nov. 08, 2011

ARGH! I hate that I'm done and there isn't another one to read yet! I do hope you feel better soon and come back to these tremendous characters! I want to know what happens with Daniel and Tessa! Will Tessa overcome her fears from the nearly forced bonding with a much older wolf? Will Daniel be there waiting for her when she is ready for a mate to care for her? How will Ryne handle fatherhood? And what else can we learn about the history of Melody and Kane? I found those side bits intriguing. I have to admit I found the multiple points of view a bit repetitive at times, but you pulled it off nicely by the time all was said and done. I can't complain much since I read through the night to finish the book, unable to stop. I tried once, but I couldn't sleep until I got back up and finished the story! Please take care and provide us with a new offering soon! I and many others will be watching and waiting. Also, I plan to send a nice donation to my local animal shelter at your suggestion. These books are worth way more than we have to pay for them!!
  • The Keeping on Jan. 25, 2012

While I think the latest Law of the Lycans book, Bonded is the best offering yet by Nicky Charles, The Keeping is still my favorite. If it were in paperback, I'd have to buy another copy by now from all the reading. I've lost count how many times I have read this book. Each time, I laugh and cry right along with the characters. If you haven't read this series, start with The Mating. I'm guessing you won't have any problem seeking the next 3 soon after. While some folks seem to be offended by the sex scenes or find the plot far fetched, I think it is superb. Nicky's books deal with so much more than just another hot and steamy sex scene. Her characters have so much depth and reality to them, I just get lost in their universe from beginning to ending of every book. The stories never seem to get old for me. To those who don't like the steamy sex parts, why are you downloading an adult romance to read in the first place? Nicky Charles has incredible talent, and her fan base continues to grow for a reason. She could sell her books, but chooses instead to simply write as a hobby and offer them for free. I hope she never gets too bogged down with all the fan mail to keep writing stories for us.I, for one, will keep reading them as long as she does. I'm also enjoying fun with other obsessed fans on her Lycan Link Facebook page!
  • The Wolf's Mate Book 2: Linus & The Angel on May 25, 2012

Another awesome book from RE Butler! As usual, I couldn't put it down, and I was sad when it was over because I wanted to stay in my little fantasy world with the wolves. If you read Wolf's Mate Book 1 and liked it, you'll like this one too. If you haven't read Book 1, READ IT! You'll like it! This book focuses on the story of Linus, but does feature appearances by Jason and Cadence along the way. I liked that we got to see them again but without those characters taking over anywhere in the story. I can't wait for the next book in this series. RE Butler does a fantastic job of steaming up the pages while putting together an emotional ride worth taking with every turn of the page. If you love paranormal romance, you want to read this series!
  • Frostbite (Last Call #5) on May 25, 2012

I kind of wanted the ability to give 1/2 stars on this one so I could give it 4.5 instead of a full 5 stars. I have loved every one of the Last Call stories, but this one was probably my least favorite. Why? Well, mainly because I want to know so much more about the characters and where their stories lead. I took the longest to finish this one, and when complete, I was disappointed there wouldn't be more. That being said, I did enjoy it. Nothing quite like a visit to Last Call just before bedtime. I do hope to see more in this series, or perhaps a couple of the current stories expanded upon. Then again, it is also nice to be left to my own imaginings at times as to how things go for the couples in the future. Either way, I'm glad I read it and recommend it to any adult who likes a good steamy romance story that wastes no time getting right to the action! Is Last Call good novel material for a drawn out read? Nah. Is it a good series for letting off steam and gathering some ideas to heat up the bedroom? You bet! Oh and this is one series that really doesn't have to be read in order. The connecting factor is in the location. The stories are all stand alone, so pick one up and prepare to get turned on in a hurry!
  • Stormy Weather on May 25, 2012 it. Such fun reading about the Devereaux brothers and their mates. Not a whole lot of depth here, but I enjoyed every story. They made for good light reading with some steamy romance tossed in the mix. Would like to have seen more depth to the stories, but can't really complain about anything that was there. Not my favorite series ever, but very enjoyable and I have often recommended them to friends. Andre was my favorite character of the bunch. I look forward to reading more by Selena Blake.
  • Tequila Sunset (Last Call #4.5) on July 23, 2012

I don't know how they manage to write such short and steamy stories full of sex and still manage to lure me into an attachment to the characters. Nevertheless, it happens every time I read a Last Call novella. This was a great follow-up story for Tequila Sunrise. I enjoyed finding out what became of Zack after his last visit to Last Call. As usual, this book totally sizzles. If you enjoyed Tequila Sunrise, you definitely want to check this one out, too. What else can I say? It's Moira Rogers, and it's Last Call, the club where your drink tells the patrons just what you're looking for in a mate for the evening....or longer.
  • Control Me on Aug. 10, 2012

What a hot, steamy read! Jessyca gets right to the good stuff and spares no details. This story is sure to leave you in a sweat - in a very good way. I look forward to more from this author!
  • Bloodlust on Dec. 25, 2012

Nothing bad to say about this. It is well written with an amusing twist that leaves one wondering who really won the battle, if anyone at all did. Unlike others, I was glad it was short. It is very hot. For me, personally, it was a bit over the top. Like I said, very well written, it is just abit too much for me, hence 3 stars. It was my first time to read tbis author, and I still plan to try a full novel.

I admit I was a bit skeptical about whether or not I would like this book since I'm not big on vooks written in first pwrson point of view. However, a few chapters in and I was hooked. I fell right into the flow of thr story, and the!well-developed characters kept me turning pages, eager to find out what would happen next. Ms. Tatum handled the twi main character viewpoints perfectly. The love story is endearing and the plot suspenseful. I look forward to the next in the series.
