There should be more stories like this one!! I have read a lot of lesbian-vampire fiction and this is the first story where I exactly found what I was looking for in all the other stories. The book does not concern itself with building up an elaborate setting of vampire societies or complicated character relations. It's all about a very original and genre-crossing idea. The concept of the nymphomites is amazing and sexy right down to the difference in the gender of their victims. The writing is very passionate and original and clear and makes every word more powerful because of it. I have been bored so many times before in stories that carried on and on about details in characters or settings that I couldn't care less about. I also found Linda, the main character very refreshing. In her personality she is practically already a vampire before the gets turned into one. I guess that's why she was selected by the other nymphomite in the first place. Linda later decides to turn one of her victims herself, but her judgment wasn't that good this time. The sexual encounters in between are all told in a light and humorous fashion. Linda is a creature of purest passion. She feels no remorse for seducing and killing her victims. Beauty and passion are the only things that exits for her and that makes her the perfect vampire for me. Fireflies gave me you just the right words to set fire to my own imagination. I love it!!
