Sharon Johnson

Biography

Sharon Johnson is the pen name for a natural born story teller. The youngest of five, Sharon found the art of creating tales that had her parents often wondering if her adventures were real. Born and raised in New York City, Sharon spent most of her after school hours curled up with a book. An avid reader from childhood young Sharon took to expanding on her favorite stories, creating fan fictions. A former United States Marine she has a quick wit and a vocabulary that would make most sailors blush. Sharon spends most of her days as an ordinary electronics technician. If by ordinary you mean a heavily tattooed, pierced, and fiery redhead.

Sharon now resides in the beautiful Pocono Mountains with her husband, four children, two dogs, and two cats. She sets out every day to prove that you can never have too much on your plate if you love what you do. Mostly Sharon is a believer in love no matter what form you find it in. She specializes in M/M with Alpha males who are complex and flawed but are willing to fight for their HEA.

Smashwords Interview

How long have you been writing?
I have been writing since I was about seven. I started writing poetry and short stories based on characters I loved on TV. Growing up in NYC I spent a lot of time at my local bookstore which had a small after school workshop with the Police Athletic League. It was a great place for kids to hang out after school and the off duty Police officers really inspired my love of reading and storytelling.
What comes first, the plot or characters?
For me it’s always the plot. It will come sometimes at the most inconvenient time but I just jot down my notes and build from there.
