Daniel Matthew Robinson is a Queensland based Author. He is widely known for his first Novel, Australian Outlaw.
He is a Father and is married. While he enjoys writing and being a known Author, he is also well known for being a very private person.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on the New South Wales/Queensland boarder in a town called Tweed Heads. It is or was a small coastal community.
When did you first start writing?
As a young child, I wrote short stories, some of which I have written into books and few others I'm sure I will write into novels one day. I have a few years left in me before I stop writing professionally.
Set in Gallipoli, ANZAC SPIRIT is about a sixteen year old boy, who went to war seeking adventure. What he found was the true horrors of war. It is also a story about mateship and the hardship faced by the diggers.
I found this short book interesting, dark toned yet not to the point of overly dark. I enjoyed more than I first believed I would.
The story is well structured and the Author seems to know his charactors well. I do think it could have been a little longer, but that is just me. Really enjoyable at any lenght.

An interesting read, I enjoyed the book on the whole. I look forward to the second book. I found the plot like a classic G.I Joe story plot, which for me was a good thing.
Personally, I felt as if the story was only half told, so I want more and look forward to reading the second book even more thinking there was more to be told.
A real blast at 5 Stars!!!!
An interesting tale, one I think is in a style of Sci/fi of its own as it has story elements from all different genre's, all bending well together.
I look forward to the seond book and hope to once again be impressed by this Author, who has a flare for words and story telling. WELL DONE!!!!
