A skilfully constructed story with an artistic edge. Parts made me laugh out loud. I loved it! I never quit – I kept reading to the end – and enjoyed it. The characters had occasionally a one dimensional look, but it stuck to the plot – the alien artifact and first contact theme – and not confusing it, or boring the pants off me – with things that had nothing to do with anything, which most sci-fi does, if you prefer it – and it kept me reading to the end. It was also great to see a book not just using old worn arguments and quarrels as tools – which are mainly not connected to anything – filling in everything! So if you are interested in great action adventure, characters that explore, seek answers then I am sure you will love this type of book.
