Old sailor buys a mezzotint print with the scene of the Mayflower sailing ship in Sutton Harbour in Plymouth, Devon only to discover the picture changes scene at certain moments of the day and night. Whilst walking on the harbour, old man is transported back in time momentarily to the year 1620 when the Mayflower set sail from Plymouth for the New World, becoming part of the scene.

Dave Bending was born in Plymouth and grew up in South West Devon surrounded by clear aqua marine sea (with screaming seagulls!), golden sands and beautiful green , very green countryside. His love of sport (especially tennis) and all forms of writing is what keeps him sane.
