Biography
I earned my PhD in biochemistry at Montana State University in 2002 while working on cystic fibrosis, then moved to Los Angeles where I worked on bacterial meningitis until 2004. Since then I have been teaching, writing, and lecturing.
This is my first (and only) novel. I wrote it over a period of 5 years as a teaching tool, arranging my college lectures on biology into a fictional story as narrated by Ben Ketchum, a young microbiologist in search of his tenure and a lot more.
