Debie Douglas Nantz
Debie Douglas Nantz, being the true Southern belle with roots that have rarely crossed the Mason-Dixon Line, lives in sunny Florida with her husband and their two terribly spoiled dogs. She has been writing since junior high, where she spent countless hours curled up on the family front porch swing with her trusty notebook, pen, glass of iced tea, and killer Chihuahua.
After winning a ninth grade writing contest, she was prompted by her teacher to expand her stories to books, and soon became a published author. What started out as a simple way to express herself quickly became an obsession, and she has been writing ever since.
The working mother of two children and five grandchildren, Debie now enjoys an empty nest, giving her time for hobbies which include collecting quotes, playing with her pets, photography, traveling, and shopping. Her husband just nudged her and said she should underline "shopping".
