Smashwords book reviews by Dee Doanes

Absolutely love Baylie, the main character of Enlightened . Young adult readers will appreciate her inquisitive spirit that turns into full blown detective work. Her curiosity starts with the discovery of her grandmother's picture album that leads to the digging up of family secrets from long ago. The grandmother's back story was great. Love the vivid descriptions of the visions The first dream/vision after Baylie's accident sets the pace for her new abilities coming to light and the unraveling of the mystery. I won't reveal too much so other readers can enjoy seeing the mystery unfold. Very entertaining with great paranormal scenes, great dialogue and good character development. Parents of teens will enjoy Enlightened because it's positive. It shows Baylie's closeness with her family and friends and a sweet romance developing with Baylie and Tyler. This can be read by teens age 12 and up. I highly recommend this book.
