Hi, I am a 57-year-old woman living in San Jose. I lead a busy life and would like to broaden my list of friends.

I completed an MS in mathematics from San Jose State University in May 2007. I began teaching at the community college level in fall 2007. Currently, spring 2010, I work as an adjunct mathematics instructor, substitute teach, and maintain an Internet business.

Love science and learning of all types. Enjoy strolling through residential neighborhoods for exercise, reading for pleasure, studying, the Internet, coffee shops, bookstores, window shopping, artsy and classic movies, minor league baseball games, and day trips to Monterey and Carmel.

In February, 2007, I acquired a Chiweenie, "Lester", who is the world's cutest small dog. He is one half chihuahua and one half dachshund. With his acquisition, I have learned to spell two new words :-) He now weighs about ten pounds, and is the ultimate playful companion. I spend every non-working minute with him.

I started back with knitting a few years ago, and now work on several projects at a time. In addition to attending bi-monthly meetups in Santa Clara, I also hangout frequently at Purlescence Yarns in Sunnyvale, CA. It's a great place to find specialty yarns and make friends. In late April 2010, I bought a new MacBook Pro 15", 2.6 GHz, Intel Core i7 computer. I love it! It is so much faster than my old Dell Inspiron e1505. I especially like the way the dock icons magnify when you roll the cursor over them.

In January, 2011, my son, Benjamin, and myself, have corroborated to copyright and publish his 130 collected poems, in an anthology which we have entitled, "Hey man, I've heard you sold your dreams". This book will be available for download in the Amazon and Barnes and Noble online stores. It will also be available as a Smashwords publication.
