I liked the mystery involved in this romance, although I found some of the situations not probable in real life regarding how she tracked the "bad guys" for weeks without being detected

I enjoyed the book because of the heroine. She had courage and spunk. I thought the hero was a bit milk-toast. I can understand his need to hide his face, but it would have been much better if he showed more back bone and grit. Been a bit more assertive in claiming is bride. You wonder whether she will walk all over him in their marriage.

I enjoyed the book --- it was humorous and intriguing. You kept wondering what scrape she would get into next and he was determined to win her. The whole thing about the vine and Dame Fortune added a bit of other worldliness to the entire story, and was an unexpected delight.

I really enjoyed reading this book. You got caught up in the purpose of Sarah and her wanting to help because she cared. Yet you felt the pride and the reluctance of the mountain folks to not take charity. It was humourous at times, and heartwarming at others. The antics of the children was nicely woven into the story. Lastly, the blooming feelings that Sarah and Wyn had for each other and how they acknowledged those feelings was done very nicely.
A well-rounded book, with lots of angles and very well-written to bring it all together.

It was a good book, the heroine was a steadfast character in her determination to make change and fairness for the servants and people in the holdings of the castle. However, I did not like the "hero" -- Terran. He seemed a dense man, led by his evil cousin, waffling between rage and doubt versus clear thinking. I think I would have enjoyed the book more if he seemed someone with more strength and doing his own thinking. I wasn't that thrilled that the heroine, whom I really liked, had fallen in love with him. I just couldn't like him. Other than that, the plot was good, the story intriguing, and kept the reader engrossed and it moved along well.

I really enjoyed this book. The main heroine had two female support characters with their own sub - romantic plat that corresponded to the hero's two male sidekicks. it was an entertaining story, characters were developed enough to understand their viewpoints and reactions, and the story moved along well and kept the reader interested.
I enjoyed the 4 romantic story lines interwoven throughout this book. Good job by the writer. It was humorous at times, which I like in a romance.

a good romance that had the characters stick to and react as the reader would expect their described role/character to react to the various situations throughout the story. The writer did a good job in crafting the characters and the story line to make reactions believable based on how you got to know each character. Well done -- I enjoyed the story and characters as the unfolded.
